Just when the US was starting to forget about Armstrong and begin racing MTB’s again he announces a comeback.
It’s no coincidence that MTB participation was at an all time low during Armstrong’s 7 year win streak and it’s no coincidence that in the last couple of years MTB numbers have begun growing again.
The MTB-sales-down/road-bike-sales-up trend of the last 8 years was beginning to reverse itself.
Now here he comes again and no doubt the cycling trend will again tip toward skinny tires and the juniors will all want to be like Lance.
